Recent price comparisons have revealed that the Bedford driving school Txt-Drive is cheaper than the national driving schools BSM and AA.

The BSM website advertises prices as for the MK41 postcode :

• £25.75 per hour
• £231.75 for 10 hours
• £437.75 for 20 hours

The AA website advertises prices as :

• £24 per hour (average)
• £220 for 10 hours
• £440 for 20 hours

Txt-Drive prices (all inc. student discount) [www.txt-drive.co.uk] :

• £24 per hour
• £195 for 10 hours
• £380 for 20 hours

Prices were obtained from the BSM website and the AA website on 18/10/09.

Txt-Drive is up to £60 CHEAPER than the AA when booking 20 hours of driving lessons.

Txt-Drive is up to £57.75 CHEAPER than BSM when booking 20 hours of driving lessons.

If you take the national average figures released by the DSA, it takes someone 45 hours of driving lessons plus 22 hours of private practise (therefore 67 hours in total). With regard to these national average figures, learning to drive with Txt-Drive could save you over £175 compared to BSM and over £185 compared to the AA!!

Txt-Drive also use FULLY QUALIFIED driving instructors (ADIs) unlike some national driving schools. If a driving instructor displays a ‘pink’ license in the car, they are NOT yet fully qualified. This could mean that they have not yet even taken a test to assess their driving instruction.
